A Versatile Singer

K J Michael is an Indian playback singer who hailed from Kochi, Kerala. He received the Kerala state award as the best play back singer for play theatre in 1978 as a singer of the drama troop, Suryasoma.

He started his music career as play back singer for theatre in the 1970s. He moved on to become a music teacher at Santa Cruz High School and later moved to Muscat serving as the music teacher in Indian School, Muscat and Indian School Darsait. He has sung in a number of Christian devotional albums, including popular songs like Aarathiyeki namikkunnu, Yeshuve Naayaka. He has mastered in both Karnatic and Hindustani music. His Gazal Sandhya performances and in different stages/venues in Kochi has mesmerized the audience. He has also delivered Karnatic music performances as part of temple festivals, and Orchestra of popular old hits in various venues. He continues to entertain his audience in social media with his cover songs with over 150 YouTube videos.
